Machaerocereus
Machaerocereus: (Br.&R) Two species in this genus, both from Baja Mexico but some say close enough to Stenocereus to be included. They have dagger like central spines. One is erect and the other decumbent. Both very interesting plants.
The name Machaerocereus signifies dagger cereus with reference to the spines.
